Duplicating an Observation Set
Previous  Top  Next

Observer can load and use a variety of observation sets. You might wish to customize different sets for different groups of teachers. A good way to start is to duplicate an observation set that has already been created. To do this, perform the steps below.

Duplicating an Observation Set

1.Select the Setup tab, then the Database Tools sub-tab.
2.Notice the database listed to the right if the Select database to copy button. This reflects the currently open observation set. If this is the set you want to copy, move to the next step; otherwise, click the Select database to copy button and browse to the observation set you want to copy.
3.Click the Create new database button. Use the browsing controls to select a location for the new database and provide the new database a meaningful name. When you have finished this step, the location of the new observation set will be shown to the right of the button.
4.Use the checkboxes to select the portions of the original observation set you want to copy to the new observation set. Notice that if the first checkbox is selected (Teachers), then the second checkbox is automatically selected (Subjects, etc.). Click the Copy database button. Note: This button will not be enabled unless a valid setting has been made using the previous button.
