Some reports, such as progress reports, allow you to set margins before you print. If you select Format, Margins from the menu, you will get this simple form. Following are some points about setting margins in Grade Point:
Margin Values
The values you enter must be in decimal notation. If you have a fractional value in mind, you will need to convert it to a decimal value (see below). There must be a value on both the left and right sides of the decimal. No spaces are allowed. The valid range for margins is 0.25 - 1.5.
Examples of Valid Margin Settings
1.5 0.5 1.0 1.25
Examples of Invalid Margin Settings
1. 5 .5 1
No Spaces Allowed
The setting 1. 5 must have a value in the tenths place before it can have a value in the hundredths place. Valid settings the user might have intended include 1.5, 1.05, etc.
The Whole Number Spot Must Have a Value
The setting .5 should be 0.5
The Decimal Part Must have a Value
