Mileage Points
Top  Previous  Next

Keep Up relies on mileage points in order to predict what a vehicle's mileage might be on a given day. Mileage points are automatically created whenever a completed task, break-fix, or fuel purchase is recorded. (Mileage Points are called Distance Points when the metric measurement system is specified in preferences.)

Keep Up needs at least two mileage points before it can accurately notify you that you have maintenance tasks to perform. You should enter at least two mileage points, separated by at least several days, prior to counting on Keep Up to notify you of tasks that may be due.

Accuracy of Keep Up's Predictions
Mileage predictions will be very accurate if you tend to put about the same number of miles on your car weekly or monthly. If you use your car sporatically, or you put an unusually high or low number of miles on your car in special circumstances, then Keep Up's predictions about when items are due for maintenance will not be as accurate.
