One of the most compelling reasons for using Keep Up is its ability to create reports of maintenance tasks that will be due soon, or are overdue. If you associate parts with maintenance tasks, the report will include a parts list beneath each task, including a history of where you bought the part(s) and how much you paid. If you associate capacities and specifications with maintenance tasks, the report will include a list of capacities and specifications beneath each task.
Whenever you start Keep Up, it will scan its database to see if any tasks are due soon, or are overdue. If there are tasks identified, you will be prompted and asked if you would like to view the pending tasks. (You can enable or disable prompting in the Keep Up preferences.) If you leave your computer on for extended periods of time (over 24 hours), Keep Up will scan its database once each 24 hours to see if it needs to generate a task report. (You can enable or disable this feature in the Keep Up preferences.) In addition to being prompted about task reports, you can view one at any time by selecting Task Report from the Reports menu.
You can print a task report, as shown below. This gives you a handy checklist to use when purchasing the parts, as well as a concrete reminder to perform the task(s) and a checklist when you actually do the work.
